TGIF/WATT!

It's time again for my favorite caption game. Since my sister turned 28 this week, she will be the subject of entertainment this week. So tell me, internet travelers, what are these lovely ladies thinking?? I can be a simple sentence or a dialogue. Get creative!

Bellatrix living up to her name

I've sat here all day contemplating and I have no idea how she pulled this off. I find myself doing that a lot when it comes to Bella. We put her outside on a leash tied to the fence. I come out later and she's stuck because somehow she defied all laws of physics and looped her leash through the mesh of the iron picnic table. Or she's tied a knot around the hose. How does she do it?! Last night I heard a horrible screeching noise and then a crash. I ran outside to find this scene:The grill was backed up against that ugly wall. Bella flipped it around AND knocked it to the ground. I was in shock and awe. Apparently Bella was too. She kept staring at the grill and then running away from it like "it came outta nowhere!" She's a special dog.

Guys, Afganistanannies

Is this not the most adorable photo of John Krasinski ever?! Just wanted to share. Have a great day all!

Happiness for everyone!

So last week I posted a list of things that make me happy. I have to add Frezned to that list. Frezned is the internet persona of a boy named Tom. Tom is from Australia so to hear him read the newspaper is lovely. This is his most recent post and I thought of all of you, my known and unknown readers, when I watched it. I hope it brings you as much joy as it does me. And Tom, if you ever read this, my sister Erin is 20 years old, gorgeous, and is a fan of yours as well. I would love for you to marry her so I can have the most adorable brother-in-law a person can ask for.

The Bad News Bears

Chuck's softball team lost 20-9 last night and was proud! It's the first game not called off by the mercy rule. Chuck got up to bat a record three times! I'm sure it had nothing to do with the three pick up players from another team.
See Mia hanging on the fence back there? Poor Chuck was barraged with questions as he stepped up to bat. Actually, just one question repeated about 10 times. "Are you going to hit a home run Daddy? Are you? Daddy? Are you going to hit it? Daddy? Daddy? DADDY?!!"

Family photos

This box of photos sat in my grandmother's living room while we were there for Tricia's funeral. (My sister's Easter pics lead me to believe that no one has moved it since.) The hours of entertainment and nostalgia this box provides is indescribable. There's pictures of every single member of the family in every stage of life and it is awesome to behold. That top framed photo is my grandma. Isn't she beautiful? The upside down one at the top right of that is my dad holding me as a baby. I should have swiped that one. I did come home with a handful of photos of baby me with random family members. As sentimental as it seems, we used it mostly for finding the most embarrassing pictures we could find of each person and rubbing it in their face! And isn't that what family is for? Because as Kevin Smith once wrote, there's nothing more exhilarating than pointing out the shortcomings of others.

Hide-N-Seek

This is Layla's idea of hiding. I believe she was an ostrich in a previous life.

This is how I procrastinate cleaning the house which is why the living room is pretty chaotic looking. Ignore the mess, focus on the kids! Thanks!
Don't you love how Layla gives Mia all of 3 seconds to hide? Awesome.

Mia-isms

A few quips from my world this weekend:

At the doctor's office while getting blood drawn from her finger: "Is she going to suck my fingers out?"

A bargaining chip to get candy: "I'll live next to you when I grow older"

Slinging insults as she sat in time out: "Well I'm never going to college. EVER!"
